Ice Chamber by mackdj Ice Chamber by mackdj
A shot of the other ice spear from a different angle with more background--these pics don't give the scene justice, but they're a good attempt for anybody who has never been inside a glacier.

This is totally amazing! The awesomeness of nature always humbles me.

It really was impressive to be inside this living ice snake tens of thousands of years old. The creaking and cracking of the glacier as it moved was humbling.

Whats really crazy is this picture deosnt even give the ice justice. Its really hard to describe the vibrant glow that was created by the sun coming through the 3 feet of solid glacial ice. This photo was NOT manipulated except for being cropped a little. It really was impressive and a great sight. And to think that it was a moving object i was standing in, this glacier moves about 2 inches a day!!!
